The Founders' Journey: Saket Agarwal & Jatinder Verma
From corporate boardrooms to home bedsides, the story of HJS began when Saket Agarwal (former Global CEO, Spice Group) and Jatinder Verma (ex-Group CTO of a leading Railway BPO) found themselves caring for their ailing mothers. Their personal tragedies revealed a grim truth: India’s healthcare crisis lies not in hospitals, but in homes — where families struggle silently without proper support after discharge.
“The gap between hospital discharge and home recovery was where dignity was being lost,” says Saket.
Saket’s mother battled Parkinson’s and underwent six surgeries; Jatinder lost his mother after a long cancer fight. These deeply human experiences became the bedrock of HJS’s mission — to eliminate suffering caused by a lack of access, affordability, and empathy in home care.
