Hospital Bed For Home:
What Nobody Tells You Before You Decide

✅ 1,00,000+ families served    🚚 Delivery & setup at Home    🔄 Return anytime    📍 Delhi NCR, Mohali, Lucknow, Jaipur

Whether your loved one is recovering from surgery, managing a chronic condition, or needs long-term home care — choosing the right bed makes all the difference. Here's everything you need, in plain language.

90% of families who contact us choose to rent, not buy. A hospital-grade bed costs ₹35,000–₹1,20,000 to purchase — and most patients no longer need it after 2–4 months. Renting saves money, removes the hassle, and lets you upgrade anytime.

Before you read further: If your loved one needs the bed for post-surgery recovery (typically 4–12 weeks) or for a condition that may improve over time, renting almost always makes more financial sense. If the need is permanent and long-term (2+ years, severe paralysis, late-stage illness), buying may be worth considering. This guide covers both — but we'll be honest about which is right for you.

STEP 1 : UNDERSTAND YOUR OPTIONS

STEP 3 : MAKE THE SMART CALL

Renting vs. Buying: An Honest Comparison

Most families don't realise that a hospital bed purchased new costs ₹35,000–₹1,20,000 — and loses 60% of its value the moment it's used. Here's the full picture.

✅ Renting (What 90% Choose)

✓ Pay only for the time you need — weeks or months

✓ Free delivery, setup, and pickup included

✓ Upgrade to a better bed model anytime

✓ No storage problem when patient recovers

✓ Maintenance and replacements handled by us

✓ Total cost ₹2,500–₹12,00/month vs ₹35,000+ upfront

⚠️ Buying (Consider Only If…)

→ Need is confirmed permanent (2+ years)

→ You're in a remote area with no rental service

→ You have caregiver/nursing facility and need multiple beds

→ High upfront cost: ₹35,000–₹1,20,000

→ Resale value is very low (second-hand market poor)

→You bear all repair and maintenance costs

STEP 4 : BEFORE YOU ORDER

Hospital Bed Rental Checklist for Home

Ask these questions to make sure the bed you choose fits your home and patient's needs perfectly.

1

Measure your room doorway width

Standard hospital beds are 90cm wide; confirm your door is at least 80cm. Disassembly available on request.

2

Check the patient's weight

Standard beds support up to 150kg. Heavy-duty bariatric beds available on request for higher weights.

3

Ask about mattress type

For bedsore-prone patients, request an anti-decubitus (air mattress) add-on. Available separately

4

Confirm power socket availability

Semi-electric and full-electric beds need a standard 5A socket. Manual beds need none.

5

Decide on side rails

Side rails prevent falls, especially important for elderly, confused, or sedated patients. Confirm they're included.

6

Ask about the minimum rental period and return policy

HJS minimum is 1 month. Return anytime after that — no penalty, full security deposit refunded.

YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Frequently Asked Questions

These are the real questions families ask us before they rent. We've answered them honestly.

Ques.1 Can I get hospital bed delivered to my home today?

Yes. For orders placed before 2 PM in Delhi NCR, same-day delivery is usually possible. Next-day delivery is standard for Noida, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Mohali, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Lucknow and Jaipur. Our team delivers, installs, and demonstrates how to use the bed — typically in under 30 minutes.

Ques.2 What is the minimum rental period for hospital bed?

The minimum rental period is 1 month. You can return the bed anytime after that — just give us a call and we'll pick it up. There's no penalty for early return after the first month.

Ques.3 Is a hospital bed safe at Home? Will it fit in my room?

Hospital beds are designed to be assembled and disassembled. They typically fit through standard Indian home doorways. If your room has a narrow entry, our team can partially disassemble the bed to bring it in. All beds are ISI-compliant and sanitised before delivery.

Ques.4 Which Bed is best for patients who can't move on their own?

For fully dependent patients, we recommend a Full Electric Bed (which the caregiver can adjust without physical effort) combined with an anti-decubitus air mattress to prevent bedsores. If turning the patient every 2 hours is difficult, ask about the Trendelenburg bed with tilt function.

Ques.5 Is Security deposit fully refunded?

Yes, 100% refunded when the bed is returned in its original condition. Normal wear and tear is fully acceptable — you are not charged for it. The deposit is typically refunded within 48 hours of pickup.

Ques.5 What is the bed has a problem or needs repair during rental period?

All maintenance is our responsibility. Call our helpline and we'll either fix it at your location or replace the bed — usually within 24 hours. You are never without a functional bed.

Ready to Arrange a Hospital Bed at Home?

Tell us the patient's condition and we'll recommend the right bed, confirm availability in your area, and arrange delivery — often same day.
